The message doesn’t always have to be new to have impact.
How often do we go looking for information on the same old topic? How many times can we hear a similar message from different people and still be interested?
Sometimes we don’t need new information – we just need to hear it from a different source.
If you are struggling to teach your people a certain concept, or to get them to adopt a new practice, consider changing the source of the message. It might not be that they are resisting, or that it is old news, or that they even already understand it and are simply bored. What they might need is to hear it from a different source, presented in a different way, with a slightly different twist.
It can be hard to tell exactly what source will be the right source. But if the message is important enough, it’s worth trying out different messengers until you find the one that clicks.
