A delightful change has happened in my household! The change was anticipated but the timing was a bit unexpected.
You see, I had planned on spending the next couple of weeks getting a huge amount of housework, cooking, and writing done so that I could be “ready” for when our lovely new baby arrived.
Baby Cate, on the other hand, had a very different idea in her tiny little head, and instead decided to show up three weeks early!
So please join me in welcoming this lovely little bundle to the ranks of future speakers!
She arrived on Wednesday the 17th, weighing in at a whopping 5 lbs 10 oz, 17 inches long, with a full head of thick, dark hair and doing all the normal things that healthy babies do. Both she and I are back home now and are doing extremely well. I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital, especially the members of the nursing team who attended us. The care we received was fantastic and made our stay at the hospital comfortable and happy.
I will, of course, be taking a bit of a breather, but seeing as I absolutely adore what I do, you can still expect my articles on a regular basis. But for this week, this is it – a happy announcement, a cute picture, and general expressions of bonhomie!
